My First Voice
A mission to give non-verbal children a voice of their own
Millions of nonverbal children in India face silence, stigma, and exclusion. Traditional communication tools are complex, isolating, and deepen dependence, while current tech solutions lack personality, cultural relevance, and accessibility.
MyFirstVoice combines open-source AI technologies i.e. Coqui TTS and RVC 2 (Retrieval Voice Conversion) for voice training, and ElevenLabs for accent training — with an intuitive UX, creating a simplistic real-time solution for a child.
The technology has helped 10 children speak for the first time - enabling everything from basic needs expression to poetry recitals. Parents report reduced isolation and increased social participation, while children show decreased frustration behaviors. The solution is now scaling across India.
