For the generation raised on screens, the fight for attention is tougher than ever. So, we built the world’s first conservation quest powered by tech—an interactive, park-wide adventure where every trail, animal sighting, and mission became a gamified challenge.

Think Pokémon GO, but with 1,000 real animal species.

Here’s how it worked:

  1. Smart Binoculars: Kids began their quest by spotting animals through world-first interactive binoculars that kicked off real-time missions.

  2. Companion App: Each mission synced seamlessly to the app, guiding players through the reserve with prompts triggered by what they saw.

  3. Outposts & Mini-Games: Along the way, ten outposts let kids dock their binoculars to unlock 40 science-backed mini-games, diving deeper into animal behavior and survival.

  4. Be a Ranger Buddy: Every completed mission unlocked physical and digital badges—turning exploration into achievement, and play into conservation.

MY ROLE

I led the creative direction and UX design team, collaborating with tech and engineering to turn an ambitious idea into reality. This project combined branding, experiential design, game development, and UX into one seamless experience. I managed stakeholders and presented to senior leadership on how the invention could transform the way kids experience conservation. For me, it was more than a project—it proved that protecting the planet can be as fun as playing it.

After 25 months of design, testing, and science-backed content, kids weren’t just visiting the parks, they were living thousands of personal adventures. The experience didn’t just change how they saw wildlife; they made them part of the story unfolding around them.
